  • Website design for London-based, award-winning architects, Tuckey Design Studio. In 2023 Dominic began working with Jonathan and his team on designing and developing a new website that expresses the studios approach to architecture and interiors. Working with Celeste Bolte, founder of SALT, an Architecture PR and Communications studio we developed how the studio communicates its practices through a new site structure. Particular focus was paid to the level of detail that is apparent in Tuckey Design’s work by creating a multi-layered reading level design allowing the viewer to read different content as they wish. This can be seen on the project pages and the detailed annotations that sit along side images and videos. Project undertaken at A Common Purpose.

Content In conjunction with the detailed design elements, such as captions, we explored how film can be used throughout the website adding movement and unexpected glimpses into both their projects and London studio. Emphasis on these spaces are captured through short snippets of content that catch the users eye, usually locked off camera positions alluding to a still image. Opting for image ratios more associated with still images helped further accentuate this detail.

Languages Having offices in both Switzerland and Japan, in addition to the London office and with the practice operating throughout Europe, a language toggle was added to the website. If a user is viewing the website in a location where any of the specified languages are spoken or their devices default language matches one of the languages, the website will automatically make the switch. Further insuring performance of the site is optimised as well as the overall user experience.
